NAWBO/LI HONORS WOMEN IN
BUSINESS AT SUCCESSFUL 2007 GALA

 

Garden City, NY July 17, 2007 – The National Association of Women Business Owners, Long Island Chapter (NAWBO/LI) honored Rosemarie diSalvo, co-founder of diSalvo Interiors; Clarice Kennedy, chairwoman and CEO of CCN, Inc.; Nell Merlino, co-founder and CEO of Count Me In For Women’s Economic Independence; Sarah Lansdale, executive director of Sustainable Long Island; Barbara McBride, founder of Business Dynamics Online and Sudhir Sachdev, president of the OysterBridge Group, Inc. at NAWBO/LI's annual gala, “Lighting the Way for Women in Business.” The gala was held on May 23rd at the Fox Hollow in Woodbury, New York.
 
“The night was a tribute to the dedicated individuals who help shape the Long Island business community. The awards also recognized the hard work, energy, and effort these individuals put forth throughout the year,” said Gala Chairperson Maureen Borzacchiello, president and chief executive officer of Creative Display Solutions, Inc. in Lynbrook.
 
More than 250 business leaders attended the gala. They enjoyed a cocktail reception and sit-down dinner, as well as the opportunity to network. Many attendees won great prizes and established relationships that are likely to help them grow their businesses in the future.
